We all love the joy and smiles on the faces of kids when they proudly land their first fish. For generations parents and mentors have been passing down their tips and secrets for catching the fish in their favorite ponds, lakes, creeks, and rivers.
As we recall our best memories, we are also reminded that these adventures are a hands-on opportunity to teach the next generation the importance of nature conservancy and sustainability. It is our role to encourage tomorrow's caretakers to be good stewards of nature's blessings and bounty.
While we enjoy fishing with our kids and raising good citizens, we should also consider ways fishing can contribute to our community.
C.A.S.T for Kids Foundation empowers families and communities to celebrate children with special needs, making these children feel valued and loved so they can overcome limitations and be successful.
Kids, their families and community volunteers come together for annual fishing and boating events across America for a quality outdoor recreational experience.
We encourage you to learn how you can support and volunteer with C.A.S.T for Kids and use your fishing knowledge to make a difference in the lives of children who want to learn to fish. www.castforkids.org
