Taken on the scenic waters of Watauga Lake, Tennessee during the summer of 2023, Mark’s photo captures his grandson Will proudly holding a gorgeous 21-inch Smallmouth Bass.

About the Winning Catch

This impressive smallmouth was caught using a deadly-effective Mack’s Lure setup: a Sling Blade paired with a Wiggle Hoochie combo. The flash of the Blade and the lifelike movement of the Hoochie proved to be the perfect pairing for enticing a trophy-class smallmouth in the clear waters of Watauga.

Will’s excitement, combined with the stunning mountain backdrop, makes this photo a standout moment and a worthy winner for December. This image represents everything we love seeing from the Mack’s community: youth in the outdoors, family tradition, and fish caught on proven Mack’s gear.
