This month's winning image comes from the legendary Flaming Gorge, where Brian Orr of Mack's Pro Staff captured an unforgettable moment with his grandson holding a stunning Kokanee salmon. The photo showcases not only an incredible catch but also the special memories that fishing creates when shared across generations.
The Kokanee were caught between 45 and 60 feet deep using Mack's 4.4-inch Double D Dodgers paired with Mack's Sling Blades, along with Double Whammys and homemade spinners. It was a highly successful week on the water, and the fresh catch was enjoyed as delicious Kokanee cakes and blackened Kokanee, a fitting reward after days of outstanding fishing.
The image stood out for its beautiful setting, exceptional fish, and the genuine family moment it preserves. It perfectly reflects what makes Kokanee fishing at Flaming Gorge so memorable: great tackle, productive waters, and unforgettable experiences with loved ones.
