As the weather begins to warm, we are gearing up for an exciting spring fishing season. April is the perfect time to target kokanee, trout, and walleye, as these species become more active in preparation for spawning. Whether you’re trolling for kokanee with Mack’s Lure’s iconic Wedding Ring Mini Pro or jigging the SD Jig for walleye in shallow waters, Mack’s Lures are designed to give you the edge in spring fishing.
April is a great time to experiment with trolling speeds and depths. For kokanee, start shallow early in the season as they school near the surface. As temperatures rise later in the month, adjust your setup to fish deeper zones where kokanee retreat. For walleye, focus on shallower areas before transitioning to deeper structures as water temperatures climb. We hope you are able to make this fishing season one to remember!
